Food Security Investment Forum in Asia-Pacific

The forum is co-organized by ADB, IFAD and FAO and co-supported by USAID from 7-9 July, 2010 in ADB head office in Manila. Government representatives, donors, civil society, farmer organization and hundreds of private sectors were invited in the historical forum. The main goal is to explore new approaches to tackle the region’s food security challenges.The forum put most attention and concern upon food security since the world population growth is very fast –that might be up to 9 billion by 2050.
